On Wednesday, July 13, presentations were held regarding Pre-Capstone Project plans at the Faculty of Engineering, Kyoto University of Advanced Science.
The Pre-Capstone Project is a challenging and practical class in which students solve real problems faced by companies. In the Pre-Capstone Project, 13 partner companies provided 15 assignments, and students will be working on each assignment in teams of four. By gaining work experience while still in university, students will acquire real experience and knowledge necessary to be effective employees immediately after graduation.
At the presentation, all teams showed the plans they had made and explained how they would solve problems to the attending company representatives. An enthusiastic and lively discussion ensued between the students and the audience. At the end, the best teams were voted on and awarded prizes.
Based on these plans, the students will begin building prototypes and experimenting.
The next interim presentation will be held in November.
