概要

京都先端科学大学ナガモリアクチュエータ研究所では、下記の通り、工学部機械電気システム工学科(註)におけるシステム・情報・材料のいずれかの領域での研究、あるいは複数領域を横断する研究、および学生への教育に意欲的に取り組んでいただける助教を公募いたします。

    A.光学材料(単結晶育成を含む),光物性研究,光デバイス,光応用システムのいずれか一つ,もしくは複数(今井)
    B.システム工学の中でも特に人間機械系のシステムデザインから発想支援につながるデザイン理論までを含む(川上)
    C.メタプログラミング,ドメイン固有言語、仮想機械の分野におけるプログラミングシステム・プログラム言語(Piumarta)
  6. 職務内容
    (1) 上記の分野に関連する工学部教員と連携した当該分野における研究推進
    (2) 工学部の実験科目・演習科目補助
    (3) 工学部教員と連携した学部学生及び大学院生の研究指導補助
    (4) その他オープンキャンパスなどの学内用務補助
  7. 応募資格
    (1) 博士の学位を有する方(採用時までに取得可能な方も含む)
    (2) 上記のいずれかに関連する分野で意欲的に研究を推進できる方
    (3) 学生指導、産学連携、学部・大学運営のいずれにも十分な熱意をもって取り組める方

    出来るだけ早い時期(採択通知後に調整確認のうえ決定)
  9. 勤務形態
    常勤(5年任期)任期完了前に業績評価を行い、講師もしくは准教授への昇任審査を行う。
    昇任不可の場合、任期2年での再任とする。

    The Nagamori Institute of Actuators at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) seeks several Assistant Professors to collaborate with the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering. In addition to actively engaging in research activities, the Assistant Professor is expected to contribute to the department’s teaching activities in part. Candidates should be highly motivated, have interests and expertise in one or more of the following areas, and will work closely with the relevant mentor faculty of the Faculty of Engineering (indicated in parentheses).
    A. Inorganic crystals and related materials for optical devices (Prof. Imai)
    B. Systems engineering and design (Prof. Kawakami)
    C. Programming systems and software (Prof. Piumarta)
    Details of some fields will be described at the bottom of this document.

    The appointment period is up to 5 years. Prior to the end of the term, a review for the promotion to the position of associate professor or junior associate professor will be made based on achievements. If not approved, one additional appointment term of up to 2 years will be given.

    (1) Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in a relevant subject on or before the first day of employment.
    (2) Candidates must be motivated and able to pursue and promote research and education in one or more of the fields (A–C) indicated above.
    (3) Candidates must be motivated and able to engage in education, industry-academia collaboration and department and University management activities.
  13. Compensation
    Salary, working hours, holidays, period of employment, insurance, accommodations, etc, will be determined in accordance with the regulations of Kyoto University of Advanced Science.

  16. Additional information
    Our university changed its name from Kyoto Gakuen University to Kyoto University of Advanced Science in April 2019. A Department of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering and Graduate School of Engineering, Division of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering launched in April 2020. The assistant professors recruited in this open call belong to Nagamori Institute of Actuators and will work with a mentor faculty member in the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Systems Engineering.

    Details of research fields

    Field A
    The research field includes researches on one or more of optical materials including crystal growth, interaction of light with matter, optical devices and optical application systems. (Prof. Imai)
    Field B
    The research field includes systems engineering, human-machine system, system design, design theory, and innovative design.
    Field C
    We investigate programming languages and systems with a particular emphasis on metaprogramming, domain-specific languages, and virtual machines.
