On the evening of Friday, April 11, the KUAS Housing Office hosted its Spring Dorm Welcome Party to warmly welcome new Japanese students into the university’s vibrant residential community. The event ran from 5:30 to 8:00 PM and brought together 50 current residents and dormitory alumni to welcome 10 new Japanese students who joined the dormitories this April.
The evening began with an introduction of the student residential staff—Tutors and Community Leaders—who help foster a supportive and well-organized dormitory environment. This was followed by a lively bingo game and a fast-paced, buzz-in style trivia competition that drew enthusiastic cheers from participants. Snacks and drinks were also provided to encourage informal conversation, with many of the new Japanese residents making friends and connections during the event.
With the success of this welcome party, the Housing Office looks forward to hosting more community-building events throughout the academic year.
