On October 25 (Saturday) and 26 (Sunday), 2025, the 57th Ryubisai Festival was held over two days at the Kameoka campus of Kyoto University of Advanced Science. Although there was some rainy weather, the event still drew more than 2,000 attendees, including current students, alumni, families, and members of the public. The main stage featured a variety of performances, including presentations by student clubs and circles, a comedy show by guest entertainers, and a bingo tournament. These events helped create a lively and engaging atmosphere for visitors.

Across the campus, additional attractions included department-led exhibitions, a talk show by Sota Nakajima, and a haunted house, all of which contributed to the festival’s diverse lineup. The main street was lined with food trucks and student-run booths, offering popular items such as fried chicken, takoyaki, and drinks.

A highlight of the first day was the sky lantern event, which returned this year and provided a memorable experience for many attendees. The illuminated lanterns created a calm and reflective moment to close out the evening.

This year’s theme, “Kaleidoscope,” aimed to reflect the variety and color of the festival experience. Many visitors commented on the welcoming and creative atmosphere throughout the event.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and to all those who supported the planning and operation of the festival.
