Brief Biography

YAMADA Yoshitaka is a certified accountant (CPA in Japan and the U.S.), a certified fraud examiner (CFE), a certified management accountant (CMA), and a certified internal auditor (CIA). He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, Kyoto University. He completed the Master’s Program in Accountancy at the University of Illinois, in the U.S., and obtained a Master of Science in Accountancy there. As a CPA, he has been engaged in audits of financial statements and advisory services on IFRS implementation for mainly listed companies in Japan. Since 2024, he has been a director of the Japan Auditing Association.

Message

Accounting and finanical information is an indispensable communication tool in the business world. However, the recent progress in establishing internationally common accounting standards has caused a rapid expansion of the scope of application of such international standards to sustainability and other kinds of data. I hope that students will acquire the most advanced knowledge of and practical skills concerning the thus rapidly evolving global standards for accounting and management information so that they will demonstrate their talents in the global business world.
