Dear KUAS students: The Importance of Learning English in University

With the advancement of AI, tools for translation and conversation support are becoming increasingly convenient. As a result, some might think, "I don't need to learn English because AI can handle it." However, the significance of studying English in university remains profound.

First, the quality of information you can access changes dramatically when you learn English. AI translations have limitations and may not accurately convey nuances or specialized content. By accessing information directly in English as the primary source, you can gain more precise knowledge and fresh perspectives.

Moreover, learning English strengthens your critical thinking skills. Different languages come with unique cultural backgrounds and ways of thinking. The process of expressing yourself in English helps you organize your thoughts and develop the ability to generate new ideas. This is a valuable skill that can be applied to any field.

Additionally, English is the "common language" of the global community. With the ability to communicate and share information in English, you can go beyond AI and present your unique value to the world. English is not just a skill but a powerful tool to open doors to new opportunities and shape your future.

At university, take the opportunity to develop practical English skills that will broaden your horizons and empower your potential.
