Academic Exchange Agreement Signed with ESIEE Paris

News General 2021.02.10

On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, Kyoto University of Advanced Science signed an academic exchange agreement with ESIEE Paris, France.

ESSIE Paris is a 5-year engineering graduate school located in the eastern part of Paris, and is one of France's characteristic higher education institutions known as Grandes Écoles. After its founding in 1904, ESIEE (then known as Ecole Breguet) quickly became an engineering school focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship. Notable alumni include Marcel Dassault, founder of the Dassault Group. As of January 1, 2021, the school has also joined the Université Gustave Eiffel, a partnership of six educational and research institutions in Paris.

The purpose of the agreement between ESIEE and KUAS is to strengthen and develop new cooperatives in terms of both education and research through student and faculty exchange, exchange of academic information and materials, joint research activities, publications, and other activities.

ESIEE Paris conducts a variety of student projects, including robotics competitions, making it an excellent complement to the KUAS Faculty of Engineering’s mission to foster engineers' practical problem-solving skills.
