KUAS Signs Academic Exchange Agreement with Ohio State University

The Faculty of Engineering at Kyoto University of Advanced Science has signed an inter-departmental agreement with the College of Engineering at Ohio State University in Ohio, USA. 

The two universities’ engineering departments have agreed to develop a collaborative relationship through student exchanges, joint research, faculty and researcher exchanges, and the co-hosting of workshops and symposia on topics of common interest.


Ohio State University is located in Columbus, Ohio’s capital city. With over 50,000 students, OSU is one of the largest universities in the United States. The university was founded in 1870 and is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. In 2020, OSU ranked 70th in the world on the Times Higher Education’s World University Rankings. 


OSU enjoys a very active international exchange program with more than 6,000 international students. Their faculties include mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, industrial physics, and materials science, all of which share a strong relationship with KUAS’ own Faculty of Engineering. We at KUAS hope that this agreement will permit students to gain new professional expertise and broaden their insights.
