Handling of Classes and Examinations in the Event of Weather Warnings or Transportation Delays

1. when a weather warning is issued
When a “Special Warning”, “Wind Storm Warning”, or “Snow Storm Warning” is issued for Kameoka, Kyoto in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture (for both Kyoto Kameoka Campus and Kyoto Ohata Campus)

(Note) “Heavy Rain Warning”, “Flood Warning”, and “Heavy Snow Warning” do not apply to class cancellations.
However, the University may cancel classes in special cases. In such cases, a notice will be posted on the university’s website and on the “Advanced Navi” page.
If the applicable warning is issued after classes have started, classes will be cancelled in principle.
If a “Special Warning” is issued, please take action immediately to protect your life.
If you are unable to attend classes or take exams due to such reasons, please follow the procedures below in case of public transportation delays. 2.
2. In the event of public transportation delays
If you are unable to attend a class or take an exam due to the above-mentioned reason, please take one of the following measures.
(1) If you are unable to attend a class (including in-class examinations)
Inform the person in charge of the class directly on the day of the class and follow the instructions of the person in charge. If you cannot inform the person in charge of the class, please contact the Educational Records and Programs Center within 3 days.
(2) If you fail to attend the final examination
Students are allowed to take a follow-up exam, so please contact the Educational Records and Programs Center within 3 days (not including the day of the exam, Sundays, and holidays) to apply for the follow-up exam.
Please note that the start time of classes or examinations may be changed depending on the delay, so please check the bulletin board.
*Proof of suspension or delay is required to apply for a follow-up exam.
Please use “tipnavi” to confirm class cancellations, etc. Please avoid making inquiries by phone.
Regardless of the above handling, separate measures may be taken due to natural disasters or transportation conditions.
