【国際オフィスニュース】台湾・国立成功大学と学術交流協定を締結しました

2019年11月7日、京都先端科学大学は台湾の国立成功大学工学院と学術交流協定を締結いたしました。

この日、本学の小関敏彦副学長が国立成功大学で開かれた協定調印式に出席し、国立成功大学工学院の李偉賢院長とともに学術交流協定書に署名しました。このたびの調印式には、本学より2020年4月新設の工学部（※）学部長就任予定の田畑修教授が、また、国立成功大学工学院より李德河副院長、丁志明副院長、林裕城主任が出席しました。（※2019年11月7日現在、設置認可申請中）

国立成功大学は、台湾南部の台南市に位置し、1931年に台南高等工業学校として開校、1971年に現在の国立成功大学となりました。同大学名は台湾の民族的英雄である「鄭成功」を由来としています。理工系の研究分野において高い評価を受けると同時に、文学部、経営学部、医学部、バイオテクノロジー学部等、9つの学部から成る総合大学として発展を遂げています。

このたびの協定締結により、学生交流、教員交流、共同研究等の分野で相互交流を図って参ります。

On November 7, 2019, Kyoto University of Advanced Science concluded an academic exchange agreement with the Faculty of Engineering, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan.

Toshihiko Koseki, Vice President of Kyoto University of Advanced Science, attended the ceremony held at National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) where he signed the academic exchange agreement with Woei-Shyan Lee, Dean of NCKU’s Faculty of Engineering. The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Osamu Tabata, who will become the inaugural Dean of KUAS’ Faculty of Engineering in April 2020. In addition, Vice Dean Der-Her Lee, Vice Dean Jyh-Ming Ting, and Director Yu-Cheng Lin attended from NCKU.

Located in the southern city of Tainan, NCKU opened as Tainan Higher Technical School in 1931 and became the current National Cheng Kung University in 1971. The university's name is derived from “Cheng-Kung Cheng,” an ethnic hero in Taiwan. NCKU is highly regarded in the fields of science and engineering, and has grown into a university with nine departments including Faculties of Letters, Business Administration, Medicine, and Biotechnology.

With the conclusion of this agreement we will promote mutual activities in areas such as student exchanges, teacher exchanges, and joint research.
