インドネシア・イスラム大学の教員が亀岡に【バイオ環境学部】

2024年3月8日、本学のバイオ環境学部にインドネシアのインドネシア・イスラム大学（以下、UII）環境工学部から3名の教員が来学されました。UIIは、インドネシアの独立後の1945年に設立された同国初の私立大学です。

まず、坊安恵先生とYong Jie Wong先生の案内で、京都亀岡キャンパスの温室および植物園のほか、バイオ環境館内にある最新の実験施設も見学されました。

その後、三村徹郎バイオ環境学部長と鈴木玲治バイオ環境デザイン学科長との会談があり、学術的な協力関係を育み、拡大していくことを確認し合いました。

今回の訪問は、本学とUIIとの協力関係の強化だけでなく、今後の学術的な交流と協力的な取り組みの発展に道を開くものと期待しています。

Courtesy Visit of Universitas Islam Indonesia to KUAS

On March 8th, 2024, the Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences had the privilege of hosting three professors from the Department of Environmental Engineering, Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII), Indonesia. Founded in 1945, UII holds the distinction of being the first private university established in Indonesia following the nation's independence.

During their visit, the distinguished guests were accompanied by Dr. Yasue Bo and Dr. Yong Jie Wong to explore the greenhouses and plantation areas at the Kameoka campus. Additionally, the group had the opportunity to tour the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities housed within the Bioenvironmental Building.

The visiting professors were then warmly welcomed by Professor Dr. Tetsuro Mimura, the Dean of the Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences, and Professor Dr. Reiji Suzuki, the Head of the Department of Bioenvironmental Sciences. During the meeting, both parties expressed their appreciation and affirmed the commitment to further nurturing and expanding academic collaborations in the future.

We anticipate that this visit will not only strengthen our partnership with UII but also pave the way for enhanced academic exchanges and collaborative initiatives in the years to come.
