Bus Service Calendar

Points to note when riding the buses

  • The bus schedule may change depending on class scheduling and other events at the university. Please check the "Bus Service Calendar" above before boarding the bus.

  • If the number of passengers exceeds the seating capacity and we are unable to make arrangements for an extra bus, you may be required to stand (Some buses do not have standing room). When passengers are standing, buses cannot use the bypass and will travel non-stop via National Route 9 (Oinosaka).

Change due to fare revision of Keihan-Kyoto Kotsu bus routes in accordance with the consumption tax rate increase from October 1, 2019.

  • The buses are only authorized to travel on a direct route between Katsura and Kameoka Campus.

  • If you use these buses without using the special coupon, you need to pay the full fare (850 yen).

  • Discount bus tickets are available only at the university. They cannot be purchased at Keihan-Kyoto Kotsu counters.

  • Discount tickets cannot be used on other Keihan-Kyoto Kotsu routes.

  • Discount tickets cannot be refunded.

  • Commuter passes for public transportation can only be purchased up to the station nearest the campus where the student takes classes. (Commuter passes cannot be purchased to campuses where students engage in extracurricular activities only.)

Points to note when exchanging a discount ticket for a transfer ticket to board a local bus

In addition to the direct bus from Hankyu Katsura Station, there is also a local bus bound for JR Kameoka Station. Although it is necessary to transfer to the bus bound for Kameoka Campus in front of JR Kameoka Station, as a supplementary measure for students who were unable to catch the direct bus, the Kyoto Kotsu Katsura Information Center will exchange the discount tickets for transfer tickets for Kameoka Campus students only on days when the direct bus is in operation.

Please read the following notes carefully. The Kyoto Kotsu Katsura Information Center is located at the east exit of Hankyu Katsura Station.

  1. The Kyoto Kotsu Katsura Information Center is open from 9:00 to 18:00.
  2. Please board the bus from the East Exit at Platform 2.
  3. Transfer tickets are valid only on the day of redemption.
  4. The transfer ticket is valid only for boarding in front of Katsura Station, transferring in front of JR Kameoka Station, and getting off at Kyoto Kameoka Campus. If you get on and off at any other stops during the trip, you will need to pay the normal fare for that section of your trip separately.
  5. When you get off at JR Kameoka Station, please drop half of the transfer ticket into the fare box.
  6. Please transfer to the bus bound for Kyoto Kameoka Campus in front of JR Kameoka Station, and drop the remainder of the transfer ticket into the fare box when you get off at the university.
  7. Discount tickets cannot be used for local buses. If you do not exchange your ticket for a transfer ticket, you will need to pay the regular fare.
  8. It takes about one hour to get from Hankyu Katsura to Kameoka Campus by bus, including transfer time, depending on road conditions.
  9. This service is only for students traveling to university (from Hankyu Katsura to Kameoka Campus), and does not apply to students traveling from university (from Kameoka Campus to Hankyu Katsura).
