Indonesia Exchange Programs

This is a list of universities in Indonesia that have exchange agreements with KUAS.

Melchior Treub, Director of the Botanic Gardens in Bogor, Dutch East Indies, founded Landbouw Hogechool (Agricultural College) in 1916 and Middelbare Bosbouw School (Forestry College) and Nederlandsch Indiche Veeartsen School (Eastern Veterinary College) in 1940. During the Japanese occupation, the school was renamed Bogor Agricultural College and Bogor Veterinary College. Founded as Bogor Agricultural University in 1963, it had five faculties: Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Faculty of Animal Husbandry and Faculty of Fisheries. The first president was (presidium) Prof. Dr. Syarif Thayeb. The Faculty of Agricultural Engineering was established in 1964, and the Faculty of Mathematical Sciences was established in 1980.

Currently, almost 25,000 students are enrolled. At present, the following nine faculties have been established.

Application Guidelines for 2022 Spring Departure Exchange Programs to Indonesia

We are looking for students who would like to study in Indonesia from the spring semester of 2022.

Host School IPB University
Features IPB University is an agricultural university that has a botanical garden, practical training facilities, a good learning environment, and specialized research in agriculture and biotechnology. IPB features the following faculties and departments.
 
  • Faculty of Agriculture: Department of Agronomy and Horticulture, Department of Soil Science and Land Resources, Department of Plant Protection, Department of Landscape Architecture
  • Faculty of Animal Science: Department of Animal Production Technology and Nutrition and Department of Breeding Technology
  • Faculty of Forestry: Department of Forest Management, Department of Silviculture, Department of Forest Products, Department of Forest Resource Conservation and Tourism
  • Faculty of Agricultural Technology: Department of Mechanical and Biological Engineering, Department of Food Science and Engineering, Department of Agricultural and Related Industrial Technology
  • Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences: Geophysics and Meteorology, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics, Biochemistry
  • Faculty of Economics and Management: Department of Economic Sciences, Department of Management, Department of Agribusiness, Department of Resource and Environmental Economics
  • Faculty of Human Ecology: Community Nutrition, Family and Consumer Sciences, Communication and Community Development

Qualifications
  • Students must be enrolled at the university for at least one year at the time of departure.

  • Students must have earned an average of at least 18 credits per semester.(*For students entering in 2021 or later, the applicant must have earned an average of 20 credits or more per semester, and must have completed the required courses up to the previous semester at the time of application.)

  • Students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of application.

  • Students must be enrolled in the Faculty of Bio-Environmental Sciences or have an interest in agriculture.

  • English proficiency equivalent to or higher than level 2 on the English Proficiency Test.

Exchange Fees
  • Standard KUAS school fees (tuition fees at the host university are waived)
  • Living expenses (dormitory fees, food, etc.)
  • Travel expenses
  • Overseas travel insurance and other expenses
  • Visa application fees
Credit Approval Credits for courses taken at the host university will be converted according to the credit approval standards set forth in the University's academic regulations. Note that, in this case, the maximum number of credits that can be approved is 60.
