Mongolia Exchange Programs

This is a list of universities in Mongolia that have exchange agreements with KUAS.

Ikh Zasag has been engaged in teaching and research activities since its establishment in 1994. Currently, the university has 10 faculties on two campuses. About 7,500 students, including international students, are enrolled in more than 50 graduate and undergraduate programs of study. So far, Ikh Zasag has sent out more than 12,000 graduates, of which over 90% have found successful employment.

The university has 400 professors and researchers, 15% of whom are international professors invited from Russia, China, Japan and Korea to teach at Ikh Zasag. In addition, we have highly qualified visiting professors from foreign and domestic partner universities who teach students, give lectures and seminars.

Ikh Zasag University has developed into one of the largest and most successful modern universities in Mongolia, offering advanced education, skilled professors, appropriate learning environment and academic facilities.

Application Guidelines for the 2022 Spring Departure Exchange Programs to Mongolia

We are looking for students who would like to study in Mongolia from the spring semester of 2022.

Features

Ikh Zasag University is a private university with a campus in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, and a student population of 7,000, consisting of 14 branch campuses (vocational schools).

The programs that exchange students can choose from at IFZAG University are as follows

(A) Japanese Language Teaching Assistant(JTA)
(B) Korean Language Teacher Assistant(KTA)
(C) International Exchange Program(NCES)

All classes are conducted in English in the (C) program.

② February 2022~January 2023(1 year))

Qualifications
  • Students must be enrolled at the university for at least one year at the time of departure.
  • Students must have earned an average of at least 18 credits per semester.(*For students entering in 2021 or later, the applicant must have earned an average of 20 credits or more per semester, and must have completed the required courses up to the previous semester at the time of application.)
  • Applicants must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher at the time of application.

If you wish to apply for (A)

Applicants must have taken Japanese language or Japanese language related subjects and be able to teach Japanese as an assistant.

If you wish to apply for (B)

Applicants must have taken Korean or Korean-related courses and be able to teach Korean as an assistant.

If you wish to apply for (C)

Applicants must have English proficiency equivalent to or higher than Level 2 of the English Proficiency Test.

Exchange Fees
  • Standard KUAS school fees (tuition fees at the host university are waived)
  • Living expenses (dormitory and food expenses) 
  • Travel expenses
  • Overseas travel insurance and other expenses
  • Visa application fees
Credit Approval Credits for courses taken at the host university will be converted according to the credit approval standards set forth in KUAS' academic regulations. However, in this case, the maximum number of credits that can be approved is 60.
