Scholarships for Applicants

KUAS offers the Super KUAS-E Scholarship and the KUAS-E Scholarship, which can be applied for during the application process. These scholarships are provided to a limited number of outstanding students based on a comprehensive evaluation. Please check the table below for details such as the amounts awarded for each type of scholarship.

Eligibility

Students who will enroll in KUAS, demonstrate outstanding academic performance in their application, and have indicated their intent on the “Scholarship” section of their TAO application.
Please note that KUAS cannot divulge any information regarding the specific selection criteria for its scholarships.

2 years for Master’s program students
3 years for Doctoral program students

Important

Applicants will be informed of their scholarship application and enrollment application results at the same time.

Recipients of the Super KUAS-E Scholarship or 100% KUAS-E Scholarship will be subject to the payment of an enrollment deposit. The deposit will be refunded to enrolled students after the start of their semester.

Once a student is selected to receive a scholarship, their performance is reviewed each semester based on their academic performance as well as evaluations from their teachers. Scholarship recipients who fail to maintain a high level of academic performance or are found to have behaved in a way that damages the reputation of KUAS will have their scholarships revoked.

Scholarships for Enrolled Students

After enrolling, students can also apply to scholarships provided by KUAS or external organizations (excluding those provided by other universities). Please refer to the non-exhaustive list and table below for details. For the latest information on each scholarship, please refer to the respective website.

For Undergraduate Students

KUAS Outstanding Scholarship

KUAS Advanced Scholarship

KUAS Special Economic Aid Scholarship

Application Period	April and September (after enrollment)
Eligibility	Those who are motivated to study and meet KUAS’ academic standards but have encountered difficulties paying tuition due to a sudden change in household expenses Those who have not previously received this scholarship

KUAS Alumni Association Scholarship

Scholarship Period	One-time payment
Number of Recipients	Approximately 10 students
Application Period	September (after enrollment)
Eligibility	2^nd – 4^th year undergraduate students who are good role models and enhance the reputation of KUAS Those who have not previously received this scholarship

KUAS Student Guardian Association Scholarship

Scholarship Amount	Up to 100% of school fees for 1 semester (tuition fees, facility fees, laboratory fees)
Scholarship Period	1 semester
Number of Recipients	A small number of students from each faculty
Application Period	April and September (after enrollment)
Eligibility	Those who have encountered difficulties paying tuition due to a sudden change in household expenses Those who have not previously received this scholarship

The scholarships listed below are provided by external (non-KUAS) institutions. KUAS cannot provide assistance with applications for these scholarships prior to enrollment. Information and assistance regarding external scholarships will be provided to successful applicants after enrollment.

Japan Educational Exchanges and Services JEES Shugaku Scholarship

The Korean Scholarship Foundation

Eligibility	Full-time students who hold South Korean or North Korean nationality Those who have demonstrated excellent academic performance, but have economic difficulty paying their tuition Those who are 30 years old or younger 1st year undergraduate students must have at least a GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. 2nd year undergraduate students and higher must have at least a GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale.
