Route 1: Take the JR Sagano Line, get off at Kameoka Station. Transfer to the Keihan Bus bound for Kyoto University of Advanced Science. It takes approximately 1 hour, and the fare is 670 JPY (as of 2023).
Route 2: Take the JR Kyoto Line, get off at Katsuragawa Station. Transfer to the Keihan Bus bound for Kyoto University of Advanced Science. It takes approximately 40 minutes, and the fare is 1,020 JPY (as of 2023).
From Uzumasa Campus to Kameoka Campus
KUAS offers shuttle buses that travel between Uzumasa and Kameoka Campuses. It takes approximately 40 minutes and is free for students (the student must show their student ID to the driver when getting off the bus).
Access by Car/Motor-cycle
Kameoka Campus allows students to commute by car. The route by car is as follows:
From West Kyoto
Take National Highway 9 bound for Kameoka. If using the Kyoto Throughway, get off at the Kameoka Interchange. You will see the university’s name on the road sign. Follow the sign and turn left. You will soon arrive. It takes approximately 25 minutes.
From Osaka (Takatsuki, Ibaraki and Ikeda)
From Ikeda, Kawanishi and Minoh, take National Highway 439. From Ibaraki, use Prefectural Road 46, and from Takatsuki use Prefectural Road 6. For any of the above, follow the signs towards Kameoka. It takes approximately 40 minutes.
