Professor Aruka’s Perspective

“So far, I have devoted myself to promoting evolutionary economics in Japan through the publication of academic journals and monographs. Fortunately, since 2015, our society — the Japan Association for Evolutionary Economics — has been supported by Springer Nature, one of the world’s largest publishers of scientific literature. The journal is titled: Evolutionary and Institutional Economics Review (EIER: https://link.springer.com/journal/40844). Our monograph series is titled: Evolutionary Economics and Social Complexity Science (EESCS: https://link.springer.com/series/11930). I have been appointed managing/coordinating editor of the journal and editor-in-chief of the monographs for many years. Day after day, I arranged for reviewers and prepared clearance reviews.”
“This time, in recognition of my contributions to our journal EIER, I have been awarded two accolades. The first is the Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award, which recognizes ‘your meticulous assessment of submissions and rigorous management of the peer review process, safeguarding the scientific accuracy of the published record’. The second is the Springer Nature Author Service Award, which recognizes ‘your exceptional service in improving the author experience and ensuring the peer review process is efficient, constructive, and fair’.”
