Four Faculty Named Top 2% Most Influential | KUAS

Four faculty members from Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS) have been included in the latest “Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators” released by Elsevier on September 19. The listing recognizes researchers whose scientific impact places them among the top 2% of scientists worldwide.
The database—developed by Professor John P. A. Ioannidis and colleagues at Stanford University—standardizes citation metrics for researchers across all scientific fields. The 2025 edition is based on Scopus data as of August 1, 2025, and evaluates scholars using indicators such as total citation counts and the h-index, among others.

The KUAS faculty members selected for this distinction are:

・Dr. Tetsuro Mimura (Vice President, Dean of Faculty of Bioenvironmental Sciences)
・Dr. Alberto Castellazzi (Dean of Faculty of Engineering)
・Dr. Shuji Adachi (Specially Appointed Professor, appointment concluded in 2024)
