Kyoto University of Advanced Science Social Media Policy

1. Objective 

This policy applies to the official social media accounts (see list at the end of this document) of Kyoto University of Advanced Science (hereinafter referred to as "KUAS") and aims to ensure the appropriate management of KUAS's social media presence. The purpose of the information disseminated through the official KUAS social media accounts is to increase interest in and understanding of KUAS by exposing numerous users to information about the University's research and educational initiatives.  

2. Management Policies 

1. We will take the utmost care not to unreasonably infringe on the rights of others, including privacy rights, honor rights, portrait rights, copyrights, and trademark rights, and will comply with all relevant laws and regulations. 

2. When users send out information that includes slander, human rights violations, discriminatory remarks, false information, or inappropriate expressions toward an organization or individual in comments on official accounts, etc., we will take strict measures to deal with the situation. 

3. The official announcements and views of KUAS will be posted on the KUAS website and in press releases. Information sent from the University's official social media accounts does not necessarily represent the University's official announcements or views. Please note that information on social media is current at the time of transmission and is subject to change. 

3. Non-official Accounts

Accounts opened and operated by parties affiliated with the University other than the official accounts shall be operated in accordance with this policy, with each party assuming responsibility for their own management. 

4. Disclaimer 

KUAS assumes no responsibility for any actions taken using the information on the University's official accounts. In addition, the University assumes no responsibility for any problems or disputes that may arise between users via the University's official accounts. 

5. Other 

This policy is subject to change without notice. All accounts will be managed in accordance with the KUAS "Privacy Policy" (Japanese).

*"Official Accounts" are accounts established by the KUAS University Administration Offices and approved by the KUAS Public Relations Center.
