9月14日（火）工学部川上教授のご紹介で、NoCode Japan 株式会社（以下NoCode Japan）が京都で初めてのセミナーを京都先端科学大学にて実施した。ノーコードとは、プログラミングのコーディングなしにスマホアプリやウェブサービスを開発することを可能にする技術である。2019年に経済産業省が「2030年にIT人材が最大79万人不足する」と発表した通り、日本におけるIT人材の育成は急務となっている中、本イベントでは「文系・理系を問わず、プログラミング経験ゼロからIT人材になろう！」と題し、NoCode Japan 株式会社 教育事業部 教育担当リーダーの奥 いずみ氏をはじめとするNoCode Japan 株式会社の皆様、長岡技術科学大学大学院工学研究科 情報・経営システム工学専攻 白川 智弘准教授を迎え、ノーコードアプリ開発体験会を開催した。
「世界の人口 7億人に対して、プログラムが書ける人は何％いると思いますか？」という問いに対し「たったの0.3%（2137万人）」という衝撃的な回答は如何にIT人材という壁を高くし、アプリやウェブサービス開発を専門的にしていたかが分かる。だからこそノーコード技術が普及することによって、より多くの人が開発できるようになり、IT人材の壁を低くする。
ノーコードアプリ開発体験会ではClickという、Web上でアプリ作成が可能なノーコード開発サービスを使い、参加者が各々のアプリを制作した。想像以上にシンプルで、始めの設計・企画をしっかり固めることで、あとはまさしく”クリック”していくだけである。
日本が世界のデジタル化に後れをとらないためにも、いかに個々人でIT技術を身に付けるかが重要であり、この様な文系・理系を問わないノーコード技術こそが日本のIT人材不足を解消するキーになるのだとこれからの可能性を感じるイベントであった。

初心者でもわかりやすく、入り込みやすい内容だったので楽しんで講演を聞けました。アプリ開発にとても興味湧きました。自分でこんなアプリがいいなというものを形にして実用化するところまで挑戦したい。（工学部 1年生）
このアプリを使ったことでもっとノーコードアプリを作りたい気持ちやプログラミング技術を使ってアプリを開発したいなどという色々な気持ちが湧いてきました。これを機にどんどん自分でプログラミングの技術や知識を極めていきたいと思います。（経済経営学部2年生）

イベント「トンガリ人材への道」の目的 ： 社会との接点を提供する
ゲストスピーカーの講話を通じて、参加者へ自分の人生やキャリアと真剣に向き合う機会を提供しています。就職活動等で将来のキャリアを想像できない一つの要因は在学中に社会との接点が少ないことだと考えます。学内外の出会いを通じてネットワークを広げ、様々な人の価値観を学ぶことが自分自身の理解を深めることにつながります。卒業後の働く姿が想像できるようになったり、学内はもちろん、学外活動にも力を入れるようになったり、学生生活を充実させる一歩になると考えています。

On Tuesday 14th September, NoCode Japan held its first seminar in Kyoto at Kyoto University of Advanced Science (KUAS), thanks to an introduction from Professor Kawakami of the KUAS Faculty of Engineering. As the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry announced in 2019, there will be a shortage of up to 790,000 IT professionals by 2030 and there is an urgent need to develop IT professionals in Japan. In this event, titled "Become an IT professional from zero programming experience, regardless of whether you are a humanities or science major!”, we welcomed Ms. Izumi Oku, the leader of the Education Division of NoCode Japan, together with other members of the NoCode Japan team and Associate Professor Tomohiro Shirakawa, who specializes in Information Management and Systems Engineering at the Department of Science of Technology Innovation of Nagaoka University of Technology. Together, we held a no-code app development workshop.
When asked, “What percentage of the world's population of 700 million people can write computer programs?”, we were shocked to hear that the answer is “only 0.3% (21.37 million people)”, as it shows how the barrier for IT professionals has been raised and how specialized the development of applications and web services has become. That is why the widespread adoption of no-code technology will be a positive change, as it will enable more people to begin app development and lower the barrier of entry for becoming an IT professional.
In the no-code app development workshop, participants created their own apps using Click, a no-code development service that allows you to create apps online. It is much simpler than you might think, and once you have the initial design and planning completed, you only need to keep "clicking".
In order for Japan to keep up with global digitalization, it is important for each individual to acquire IT skills. This event gave us a sense of the potential held by this kind of no-code technology, which can be used by all people regardless of whether they are in the humanities or the sciences, and we truly felt that it may be the key to solving the issue of Japan's shortage in IT professionals.
