Welcome to the Kyoto University of Advanced Science Library System
Introduction
The library collection at Kyoto University of Advanced Science consists of approximately 460,000 volumes, ranging from reference materials to technical works and professional journals, and includes a magazine collection of about 1,900 titles, both in Japanese and other languages, in addition to about 15 daily newspapers found in the reading room. The collection is especially strong in economic fields both in Japanese and foreign languages. Using the computerized catalog systems, students can search for resource materials in the collection. The library staff provides a reference service to assist students in finding necessary materials as well as a photocopy service and links to other university libraries.
A video library, with 18 moniters and video players, is located on the second floor of the Kameoka Campus Library. This video collection contains over 5,000 titles on a wide variety of subjects.
Borrowing Media
Students are allowed to check out 5 volumes for a period of two weeks. Present your library card when checking out media. Although there are no late fees, students will not be allowed to check out additional media if books are overdue.
