ウクライナからの正規学生、新たに8名の合格者が決定。 計14名の学生受け入れ準備、本格化 / Kyoto University of Advanced Science Newly Decided to Accept 8 Ukrainian Students to KUAS and Prepares to Accept 14 Students Totally in Earnest

本学は、2022年2月に始まったロシア軍のウクライナ侵攻により大学で学び、研究することが困難になった学生や研究者に英語で講義を行っている工学部、工学研究科、ビジネススクールの学びや研究の場を提供し支援致します。学生は正規課程の学生として入学を認めます。また、単位認定を行った上で、編入学も認めております。

第1弾として４月27日に6名の工学部生合格者が決定し、現在日本入国へ向けての準備を進めています。第2弾として、5月25日に新たに8名の工学部生の合格者が決定し、現在14名の合格者となりました。これまで約200名の志願があり、志願受付はストップしていますが、以下のとおり、今後も入試面接を継続し、最大30名の学生を受け入れる予定にしています。

Kyoto University of Advanced Science (President: MAEDA Masafumi, Ukyo-ku Ward, Kyoto City, Japan) will provide study and research opportunities to Ukrainian students and researchers who have been displaced by the Russian invasion of Ukraine that began in February of 2022. Ukrainian students are being invited to join KUAS’ engineering and MBA programs, where all lectures are held in English. These Ukrainian students will be admitted as full-time students. Transfer students are also being accepted with approval of credit.

The first batch of 6 Ukrainian students was accepted to KUAS's engineering program on April 27, and their preparation to come to Japan is currently proceeding. The second batch of 8 new engineering students from acceptance was selected on May 25, totally we will accept 14 students. We have received about 200 applications so far, and we have stopped accepting applications, but we plan to continue interviewing for the entrance exam and accept 30 students at the maximum.

8 applicants were selected as of May 26, but one of them declined it for certain reasons afterwards.
